OVERVIEW¶
XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability in the Management Console.
DESCRIPTION¶
An XML External Entity vulnerability was identified in the file based service provider creation feature of the Management Console.
IMPACT¶
By leveraging the vulnerability, a malicious actor could read confidential files from the file system or access limited HTTP resources that are reachable (over HTTP GET requests) to the vulnerable product. The same vulnerability could be used to perform denial of service attack by exhausting server resources.
SOLUTION¶
If the latest version of the affected WSO2 product is not mentioned under the affected product list, you may migrate to the latest version to receive security fixes.
